This study examines determinants of purchase intention for sharia-compliant (takaful) health insurance using a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis. Forty Scopus-indexed journal articles published up to 2025 were selected following the PRISMA framework, with data retrieved on 30 December 2025. The findings show a clear shift from religiosity- and norm-based explanations toward models emphasizing trust and fintech-driven digitalization. Trust emerges as a central mechanism linking sharia compliance and service quality to purchase intention, while recent studies highlight digital service value and market inclusivity.
